Reflection (until page 204)

At any point during your reading wirte down 5 questions you would like to have answered. Will Christopher be able to arrive in London? Will his mom recognize him? What will his dad do to get his trust back? Will his mam be able this time to stay calm and to deal with his personality? How will the future of Christopher be like? So, these are the questions I prioritized for me. Of course, I have a lot more to ask questions right now.

Prediction (until page 173)

At any point of the story take a guess as to how the story (plot) will go on or finally conclude. What is going to happen? So currently Christopher is on his way to see his mom in London. He just arrived at the train station where he is trying to escape his father. At this point I think he’ll make it to London and finally see his mom again. But also, his dad will probably follow him to London because he told Ms. Alexander where he is going. His Mother will be very surprised for sure. But I can’t imagine the situation when his Dad will also arrive in London. Will they talk normally, or will they scream at each other? I literally don’t know but I am very curious about the next chapter. Maybe I’m lowkey hoping that they will somehow solve everything that happened ever between them and then live happily ever after like in a Disney story. But to be honest I don’t really believe in such a Happy Ending. Maybe also something will happen to his dad I really don’t know what to think....

Analysis (until page 149)

Write about some repetition or pattern you have noticed. Well I didn’t really notice a repetition. But there are a lot of similar things told in the story. But what I have noticed is that there is very often a chapter about one topic and in the following one will be a chapter that has similar content as the first one. For example, there was now first the chapter with the different letter Christopher’s mother wrote and in the next chapter it’s reflected to his first school year and there is also a scene with his mother described. At the other side this doesn’t count for all the chapters. And for me some of the chapters don’t make any sense. I mean there was a whole chapter just in the middle and with no context (at least I couldn’t find the context). It was something about math and some formulas and things like that. I can’t remember that good because I didn’t think that it should have a place in the book somehow. (164 words)

Characterization (until page 128)

Describe a character from the book (e.g. physicalncharacteristics, personality, likes, dislikes). Say what you like/dislike the character. I chose to write a bit about Christopher Father. At first I thought that he is a really good father. I mean of course he still is because he has a lot of patience, he looks after him and he is just always there for him. And you can see that he really loves his son. But right now there was a real plot twist in the story which I would’ve never thought of him. He lied to Christopher all this time because his Mother wasn’t even dead she just left him for another man and he couldn’t get over it. She tried to stay in contact with Christopher so she decided to write him a letter every week. The Father hid all of them and I think this was a wrong way to deal with it. He should’ve been honest with Christopher from the beginning. Before I thought he was a really correct man but this action really disappointed me. Anyways I feel bad for Christopher in t...

Empathy (until page 93)

Say in what ways you wish a character would change/develop or what you would like to happen in the life of some character. So because Christopher is the main character in this book I mostly concentrate on his situation. I think it would make a really sick turn of the story if he would just be able to realize how people feel. If he didn’t have to deal with the aspergus syndrome everything would be different and somehow I’m hoping that in the end he’ll be able to deal with this syndrome a bit better. Also I want him to really find out who the killer of Wellington is. Because he likes playing a detective and if he would find out who it was, he would probably be the most happy boy.  After that he should definitely get his A degree in math but he should not go to study math or physics or math and physics. I think he should try his very best to become a astronaut. He really deserves to achieve his goals. (153 words)

Reflection (until page 68)

Write about something in the story (character or plot) that you wish you had (or had more of) in your life. Well actually I don’t wish to be affected by it but I would like to be in a body which has to deal with Asperger syndrome. I just want to know how it is. I mean do I feel something? Can I chat in a normal way? What do others think of me? And how do they treat me? Those are just some questions that are constantly on my mind since I started reading this book.  I never realized that this syndrome does exist but in this book it’s mentioned all the time. I’ve never met a person with Asperger but I would really like to because I’m just really into it. I find it really interesting even when I don’t know what it feels like to deal with it.  I could work those questions out in my head with hypotheses all day long.  I don’t want to be rude in any way because I don’t wish anyone to have to deal with it but I just think it’s something really interesting to research and ...

Analysis (until page 30)

Write about the style of writing the author uses. So first of all I was never really into reading since primary school. I guess that’s also a reason that i didn’t get the humor of this author at first. The beginning is really dramatical already on the first page. It was also difficult to see through because he used to write in a chapter just something which didn’t have a context with the chapter before. For me this style is hard to read becuase it's confusing me. Another thing i realized is that he's trying to make fun of himself and writes about the stuff he doesn’t like and why. For example that he doesn’t like jokes ‘cause he never gets them. He can’t show any feelings and i can kind of imagine that while reading. I don’t know why but the style he uses kind of shows it. So all in one his style is very varied between funny and sad also mysterious, super intelligent and so on. It's still confusing me but I'll do my best to understand why he wrote like that. ...
